Live Arrival Guarantee - Fish Are Friends
At Fish Are Friends, we stand by the quality and health of our livestock with our Live Arrival Guarantee. Here’s how it works:
-Reporting a DOA (Dead on Arrival): If an item arrives deceased, you must notify us within 2 hours of package delivery (based on the FedEx posted delivery time). Your notification must include clear photos of the deceased item both: 1. Inside the sealed shipping bag. 2. Outside of the bag.
Failure to contact us within the specified timeframe may result in forfeiture of DOA coverage.
-Delivery Requirements: The buyer must be available at the delivery location to receive the package. Failure to do so voids all DOA coverage.
-DOA Credit Policy: Verified DOAs will be credited as a store credit for future purchases (minus shipping charges). This credit will be issued as a gift card, which must be used within 1 year. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable under any circumstances. If free shipping was applied to the original order, shipping costs will be deducted from the credit.
-Post-Delivery Responsibility: Once the livestock has been delivered and is in your possession, you assume full responsibility for the animal’s care. This includes monitoring the health of the fish and its interactions with your existing livestock. Because we cannot control the conditions in your aquarium, no warranty is implied beyond delivery.
- Quarantine and Health Assurance: At Fish Are Friends, we employ one of the most thorough quarantine processes in the industry. While we cannot guarantee the eradication of all parasites, we confirm quarantine success through scrapes, clips, and gill samples analyzed under a microscope. We only release fish from systems that pass this evaluation. However, it is not feasible to inspect every inch of every fish.
-Terms of Purchase: By completing your purchase, you agree not to initiate a chargeback for any charges related to your order.
-Responsibility for Carrier Delays: Fish Are Friends is not responsible for delays, lost packages, or other issues caused by carriers or events beyond our control.
